Recent Activity

  • Carol shared from Winter's Tale by Mark Helprin
He moved like a dancer, which is not surprising: a horse is a beautiful animal, but it is perhaps most remarkable because it moves as if it always hears music.
  • Carol shared from Affliction (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Something heavy hit the door, and I screamed like a fucking girl.
Note: This visual, Anita Blake screaming like a girl....pure gold!
  • Carol shared from The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I don’t have much interest in building mystery. Mystery bores me. It chores me. I know what happens and so do you. It’s the machinations that wheel us there that aggravate, perplex, interest, and astound me.
Note: beautifully written, it says it perfectly
  • Carol shared from Refuge Book 5 - Bonfires Burning Bright by Jeremy Bishop, Kane Gilmour
“Man’s crazier and deadlier than a toilet full of scorpions.”
    Note: hah love this line!
  • Carol shared from Refuge Book 1 - Night of the Blood Sky by Jeremy Bishop, Jeremy Robinson
One more visual distortion added to the mix would be believable to the group by the church, whose science education ranged between Ghost Hunters and the purple dinosaur, Barney, with Barney being the more intelligent of the two.
Note: bah hahah LOVE this line!
