    There are doorways that open for a time, and if we are close enough, we can be the ones to point people toward God. Those doors open up most when people are hurt or in need. It’s in these times that the church can find itself in its finest hour—that is, if it can meet the needs of the hurting—if it can be strong, wise, and courageous. The church that partners with the hurt, fights for the downcast, and loves the broken will win. It’s that simple.
