    Anytime that employees sense that information is being kept from them and that they do not have a part in achieving the organization’s goals, they feel like outsiders. As a result, their morale drops, and so does their performance. Likewise, when audience members sense that a speaker is holding back or prides himself or herself on being on the “inside” but doesn’t include the audience, people feel alienated.
