God can restore to us all that we may have lost through our self-will and foolishness. He has no desire to abandon us. He wants all that has been good in our relationship with him in the past to be a promise of better things ahead. We must trust and obey. His will toward us is good!

The things in our lives that seem to be God’s restrictions to keep us from what we want are really his loving hedges to protect us from throwing ourselves into the murky, slimy waters of sin. Let us not resist his attempt to protect us and keep us for that which is beautiful, clean, and pure.
